It's NOT a Rustic Chicken Cabinet...

(At least not originally!!)

So can you all take a guess?

I picked up this piece of folk art at the antique mart for a few dollars.

A who's it?  A what?

Look at the side...

Look at the script before I open her up.
See where it says 'lemon drops?'

And there's your clue!

Score!!

A bright yellow vintage candy advertisement.

Defintitely DON'T count your chickens before they're hatched!!

(This is way better than the chicken anyway).

Whoa!! That is seriously a great find! The outside alone is great with the carved writing but that label inside is divine -- LOL, and we all know how those lemon drops cool you down, right?

Andrea -- Never would have guessed lemon drops! Your lilacs are lovely; too much shade in my yard to grow them so I'll just enjoy your photos.

Thanks for stopping by my post and introducing yourself. I am following you and look forward to future vintage challenges.
