My Trailer is a Rhombus

But Dan says no, the driveway is just crooked
and he's only partially done with the framing.

The front has been re-framed with fresh wood
and sealed with flex seal.

The busted open corner has been realigned, re-framed,
and sealed with rope caulk and flex seal.

The skylight has been replaced
and the roofing re-framed
so now we can vent!
This is the best photo yet...

Wait, let's look at the old one again...

And now the new one again because
it's the best part so far.

Now for the floor...
It is completely rotted.
Where there IS NO floor in the corner,
there HAD BEEN a leaky water tank.

Dan said we are going to replace the floor,
because that's what Opie would do.

Opie is Dan's grandfather, in Germany, and
he used to make furniture,
and cut stone.

Dan said we are going to cut off the the trailer,
replace the floor,
and then put the trailer back on.

HOW are we going to do this?
He's going to cut it off, folks,
and we're going to LIFT and SLIDE
the body of the trailer.

He will finish the re-framing first,
so when he cuts it off it will be somewhat sturdy.

That will be another post
for another day.

You two are just rolling along on this remodel. I was thinking it would take months, but you are making some real progress. Looks great so far!

Thanks for popping in to see me and that little white and red Pyrex bowl is my favorite too!

I just LOVE these chairs - they're my favorite to do ( in fact I have several in the dungeon to do still )
Beautiful job !!! I probably would have made the kids late for school just to get that other one - left one standing in the rain on guard, dashed home - and come back - if they're old enough to stand there on their own -
I'm no THAT negligent that I would leave babies out in the rain - just determined LMHO -
XOXO
