I have a new "Betty" and she's all mine!
We sold original Betty back in August.
She was a July project.
She was a prairie dove.
Dan found her abandoned on the road and we fixed her up and sold her off.
I had seller's remorse pretty bad.
I wanted her back desperately.
I vowed that if I found another Betty, I would keep her.
Well, find her I DID. For $50!!!
Frequent searches paid off with an add on EBAY classifieds.
She had some minor damage that was easily repairable.
The makeover didn't start until November. Because I knew she was a keeper, she was on the back burner for awhile. But now, she's all styled up and pretty for you.
We made her over the exact same way as original Betty.
She's just lovin' bein' full of vintage curiosities.
Some of my Depression glass.
Vintage newsprint for Emily at Lovely Beasts (Hello BBFF!!)
The shoe stretchers were my grandmother's.
The equestrian hat was a Christmas gift from Dan...found for $3 at a flea.
My dad found these chandy prisms years ago and told me to make some earrings out of them. Uhhh...Dad....they are REALLY heavy.
Vintage science specimans...saved from the trash bin.
Corral..Christmas gift from a few years ago.
An antique sugar and creamer that was a gift.
Vintage love...
And the winter north light pouring in on our family room.

Wow! Andrea, that is gorgeous...what a find and what a great transformation!!
Ha! Red Solo Cup! We love that one. I also love Betty too (or should that be Betty two.) The chicken wire is the perfect addition. She holds some great vintage items too. Hubby really scored with the $3 equestrian hat.
The cabinet looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing what makes your pretties so special!
OMGosh! I can't believe you found Betty for only $50! I love her and they way you used chicken wire and chippy white. Just gorgeous.
Hi Andrea, Betty is beautiful! A great place to show off your vintage items.
Thanks for stopping by today. I don't know why you can't leave comments but other people have complained about it too. The only trouble I have is when I bring up a blog it jumps to the bottom of the post instead of the beginning and I have to scroll all the way back up to read it.
Have a great Sunday.

Betty looks so very pretty Andrea! How lucky you are to find it, love all your vintage pretties especially the hat!
GORGEOUS!!!!! Love the color! Awesome find- so glad this one is a keeper for you. :) in answer to your question, I ordered the boxwood wreath from a vendor at the shop. I've had a few questions on it.... maybe another giveaway is in order.... ? :) happy weekend!

Welcome home, Betty! You looked beautiful in your new colors and all decked out with special treasures. You have found a good home!
It turned out wonderfully. I like the light paint better than the heavy dark stain. The stories of the treasures inside makes it even better.
Have a great week,
Lisa
How beautiful! I love all of your vintage items tucked on display in this gorgeous cabinet!
Looks beautiful with all your treasures inside it!

Wow, "Betty" looks beautiful! What a great transformation.
Isn't it fun to find the perfect item? You really fixed this up nicely. My favorite in there is the antique sugar and creamer. I have a set myself that is similar to these. I just did a Faith post today. Come by and see it when you get a chance...I think you will like it. Have a lovely week, my friend.
