Again.
Last year, in one of the summer issues,
this vacation sand collection
was in a published photo and I fell in love.
So here's my version so far...
Super cute and easy,
I purchased some corked glass bottles from Michael's
(for a buck apiece, I think),
and instant collection!
(The aqua-glass Anti-fat bottle
was an antique store find.
Want some of that, too...)

Add to your sand collection year to year through your travels...
...just a little slip of paper inside remind's you
of it's former home.
It's neat to see how the sand differs from coast to coast, too.
You can even do it with earth from various terrain.

When I was young, my parents allowed us a few beach souvenirs - shells, sharks' teeth, fish bones. Never thought of bringing the sand home. You could even stick a photo of the family on the beach in the bottle.
BTW - love that bedroom suite you painted white!
I love this idea! I want them for my bathroom! Beautiful! New follower here!
Andrea- I wish I had seen this before we went South. I could have collected this for the girls to showcase the sand beaches we visited. I LOVE this idea. Your copy cat is better than the original- xo Diana
It's a fun idea. I don't travel much though so my collection would be small!
Ooooo, I love these bottles with sand. I actually just found one just like this with a turquoise sea shell inside and had to buy it. Jess would really like these, as her love for the ocean is great.
Happy Fourth of July, Andrea. Be safe and have fun.

These are wonderful!!
My Mom used to have some bottles with different sand-colors
Great way to bring a bit of the beach home and save a vacation memory!
