Falling Down

You may be wondering where I've been at.

I seem to have fallen off the blogospere.

Leaves are falling and we can't keep up with them...

the rider is busted, which we we were using to mulch the leaves quickly

and get the nutrients back into the drought ridden ground anyway.

Work has us feeling like the movie Ground Hog Day lately.

Get up early, face the same issues. get home, more work to do.

Try to get to bed early to rest.

The next morning feels like a broken record.

The kids have an overwhelming amount of homework to do and always need help.

We help them every day, but 3-4 hours a night in 4th grade wears you down, man.

Not even joking on that.

(BTW, textbook companies need to seriously reconsider the weight

of these books these kids carry home every day).

It seems there has been little time to devote to my little blog as of late.

What is down the road for me?

Hopefully, sunshine.

As soon as I turn the corner, and pop out of my funk,

I'll do my best to prepare

T&P

for the holidays in a proper festive manner.

I feel it is near, I just have to shove myself through this rough patch.

Please bear with me, folks!

beautiful photos Andrea. I hear you on the leaves AND the homework. I'm not in favor of all the homework the schools pile on kids. it's too much and they don't have time to relax or sleep, let alone have fun. I don't know the answer but I know it's hard on parents and the kids. Don't stress over the leaves...run and jump in them!

Hopefully life will slow down a bit and you will have time to relax and get out of your funk. You photos are beautiful though.
Thanks for you thoughts and prayers. Really appreciated!

Sounds like you have a lot going on there. Four hours of homework is enough to kill anyone. Great photos of your daughter!

I remember how I felt when I was where you are now. Many nights I would fall into bed wondering how I would have the strength to do it all again in the morning. Somehow I did and now, believe it or not, I would give anything to go back and do it all again. Hang in there. I'd make you a pot of soup if I could. :o)

I know exactly what you mean. I have a 1st, 3rd and 5th grader and all the moms have said the homework load has gotten bigger. All the testing mean less work is being done in the classrooms, but more is expected of both the students and the teachers. Good luck, a good mom is one that is helping even when it takes so much out of us.

Here's hoping the rest of those leaves blow away never to return until Spring. Hope you get to have more free time soon. The pics were just awesome! Take care, Janice

Andrea,
I am wondering how you are doing? I remember well those days of helping the kids with the homework. I do hope that this time of rest helps you and that you come back refreshed and good as new. I am in need of a blogging break soon too. Take care,
